Moms For Peace isn't just about advocating for ending wars between countries, it's also about finding inner peace, because the truth is, "true peace starts with us, with me, with you, with myself". So, to further that belief, the emphasis will be changing a little. It isn't just political, now it is personal. And it's a struggle.... MomsForPeaceBlog- Struggle for Peace Explained. Do You Believe In Torture?
The America I believe in does not torture. Most Americans do not believe in the systematic, institutionalized torture of non-combatant prisoners. Above is a photo taken by Jerry Jaspar, SVPC, of a torture exhibit put together by Merrily Davies, Brian Blac, and Uncle Bill. It was part of an exhibit in conjucntion with Social Justice Awareness Day held at College of the Sequoias, Visalia, CA on March 14, 2008.
2006 Print Exchange to promote peace. Thank you for helping make the first annual print exchage a wonderful success. We look forward to next years's exchange too. ** America is a great country. We are proud to be Americans. We are patriotic. And we seek to hold the current administration accountable to the laws of our country. We have been lied to by our elected officials who continue to bury their heads in the sand.

The Cost of "The War on Terror" "The point of terrorism is to cause terror. The people terrorists kill are not the targets; they are collateral damage. And blowing up planes, trains, markets or buses is not the goal; those are just tactics. The real targets of terrorism are the rest of us: the billions of us who are not killed but are terrorized because of the killing. The real point of terrorism is not the act itself, but our reaction to the act. And we're doing exactly what the terrorists want." - Bruce Schneier, author and security expert, from a recent blog entry. *** Help us Create a Global Map of Peace Share this link with your friends around the world |
