VOTE!!! Incredibly, the fastest, easiest way to have a huge impact with a minimum amount of effort is to VOTE!!!

Some people think, "My vote doesn't count for anything, it's all just a big joke." To that I say, consider this:

  • The 2000 Presidential election was decided by 537 votes! YOUR VOTE COUNTS!
  • In my city, a major issue passed by a margin of 87, yes, 87! votes. Your vote counts!
  • Outside of the US, and Europe, people all over the world are KILLED for REGISTERING to vote. People in other parts of the world DIE at the ballot box, or on their way their because other people don't want them to vote. We owe it to them and their families to make our voices heard!

Request a paper trail to ensure a fair and accurate voting system.

Petition your congressional representatives

There are lots of websites out there devoted to petitioning local and federal representatives. They include:

Reduce our dependence on foreign oil, or be prepared to pay higher prices for everything consumable. America consumes almost a third of the world's resources. Maybe we should rethink our position of entitlement. Maybe we should start paying for what we consume. There are more important things in life than having the biggest, baddest truck or SUV.

Stay Aware

Log on to sites such as "MoveOn.org". Focusing on the issues, MoveOn.org is not affliated with a political party.

Demonstrate

Hit the streets with a good, old-fashioned Peace Rally. Check out local listings and happenings organized through churches and school groups. They're out there. In the town where I live there is the SouthValley Peace Conference.

Stay Connected, stay plugged in.

Remember -

      • Vote
      • Conservate/reduce your fuel consumption
      • Lobby your local, state, and federal representatives
      • Stay plugged in
      • Practice peace at home and work
